This particular giveaway is inspired by my sister Michelle. She found this beautiful Rae Dunn tool set and thought it would make a great giveaway item.

Let me tell you a little bit about Michelle.
She and her family adopted a little boy with EB.
What's EB you ask?
"Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a group of rare genetic skin conditions, which is characterized by extremely fragile skin and recurrent blister formation, resulting from minor mechanical friction or trauma." They're called Butterfly Children and they're so fragile that even a hug could cause damage to their skin.
Michelle has become an EB advocate and I'm super proud of her!

Bees love the lilacs around the front of our house, even they don’t bloom for very long. And I LOVE lilacs! I also enjoy bee balm, another favorite of the bees. :)

I LOVE Sedum! The bees🐝 love them so much here too!
They are so pretty and are probably the last flower to still have color and be blooming at our homestead.
But, I will have to agree with all the folks in this comment section… I love all of them!

Sunflowers all the way! They just make me happy

My favorite is hard to decide – dandelions are up there, but I have also discovered that bees LOVE the white horehound that grows on my property. It is seriously invasive, so we are slowly doing away with much of it, but I plan to leave some just for the bees. The local beekeeper says he gets the best honey from our area, and he has concluded it is the horehound that is the difference!
Diane on
I have so many but the borage is one of my favorites!

My peach tree blooms in February and serves as the first attractor of bees on our newly established farm. Then comes pear, blueberry then apple. Now, the blackberries are blooming and perennials are waking up to buzzy bees.

My favorite bee friendly plants are pussywillow, and dandelions! Dandelions are wonderful in every way, the roots, flowers and leaves are all edible and extremely good for you. The sap is said to help remove warts. Lots of early pollen for the bees! And I just love pussywillows and cannot stop touching their little “paws”. Thanks for the giveaway, I love them too!

We grew balsam (peppermint twist, mainly) last year and the bees loved them! They were gorgeous and smelled heavenly. Hoping for reseed success and new plantings elsewhere.

Thanks for a chance to win the nice garden tools & seeds. My favorite pollinator plants are native plants because they are certain to attract native pollinators. However, I always sow other non-native pollinator plants just to hedge my bets…

Leigh Ann Long on
I have a dear friend who’s son has this same skin issue. They did not think he would survive, as a baby. He is now 28 yrs old and his precious mother still cares for him at home, by herself. God bless your sister and her daughter.
I love the first bee flowers of spring, the ill fated, much maligned Dandelion! I actually grow and save my seeds, yearly, for herbal uses and salads! May 1 is my 60th birthday!!! We just built and filled 6 raised beds and I am ready to grow!

I have so many favorite bee friendly flowers, but a particular soft spot for Queen of the Prairie. My mother fell in love with it one year, and it wasn’t hard to see why – so much pink! – and a very tall statement in the garden.
Sara Moore on
Oh I couldnt name just one favorite bee friendly plant… but sunflowers, borage, my cherry tree, tomatoes and so much more! 🥰
Thanks for the opportunity for a giveaway again!! Love love LOVE your seeds!
Mary on
God bless your sister! I suffer from a genetic condition that’s similar to (but not nearly as severe as) EB, Chronic Benign Familial Pemphigus. What a loving thing it is that she adopted her child, knowing how much care it takes and what a heartache it can be. I’m sure her child has an amazing spirit!
That said, my favorite bee-friendly plant is the lowly dandelion. A weed to some, but a blessing to the bees!
