Coconut coir growing medium comes from the coconut's fibrous husk (known as coir) that is bound together by lignin (known as pith). With the addition of water, coir expands to an easy to work with growing medium. The addition of water increases the volume 3 to 9 times, depending on the packaging of products. This process results in a 100% organic, biodegradable growing medium, making it a natural and safe growth medium of choice for growers
Each packet contains 4 varieties of organic soil amendments which make up our DIY Organic Liquid Fertilizer Mix

Bees and butterflies LOVE our Florida Spinach trees. I’ll confess, we don’t have as many flowers as we’d like. Our chickens ate most of them. But we do have some Egyptian Stars and this other one that produces great big orange balls made up of itty bitty flowers. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name. We also have marigold in our garden area.
Suzanne Young on

My favorite pollinator flowers are all native wildflowers that grow here naturally without any human input. The one that intrigued me the most has been identified as one of several species of milkweed. It has large umbels of small green fleshy flowers that bees & butterflies can’t seem to resist. I make sure that no mowing is done here before all the wildflowers go to seed so that my wildflowers come back year after year.
John House on
In my yard fairy duster and lantana along with any citrus that is in bloom seem to be the most popular with the bees. Okra blooms as well…..
