Whorled Milkweed
$ 2.75
Whorled Milkweed blooms later than most milkweeds and often into September. The small umbels of white flowers attract many pollinators, including Monarch butterflies. This small milkweed spreads to form attractive drifts.
Possibly toxic to some livestock.
Slender seed pods are formed later in the season as the leaves turn to yellow and orange, and both of these features provide interest well into autumn. Resistant to both deer and rabbit.
Contains 35 seeds

Planting tips:
Many gardeners recommend a cold treatment to help Milkweed seeds germinate more quickly. To do this, dampen a paper towel, place the flower seeds on the towel and seal it in a ziploc bag. Place the bag in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 weeks. After the cold treatment, start the Butterfly Weed seeds indoors.
Transplant the Butterfly Weed plants outdoors once temperatures are warm and the plants have 4 - 5 leaves.
Space or thin plants to about 1-2 feet apart
