A very popular rocambole variety, brought to America in the 1900s.
Cold hardy. Beautiful purple bulb wrappers. Clove wrappers are brown and purple. This strain produces large bulbs that are easy to peel and store very well.
Russian Red produces excellent yields of big bulbs that contain 6 to 7 cloves
Strong garlic flavor and has a warm sweet aftertaste.
 Russian Red Garlic is a top choice for both home gardeners and chefs. 

This garlic gets its name from its deep red color, which is a result of the high concentration of anthocyanins in the skin.
