The Prescott Fond Blanc Melon is an old French heirloom variety that produces a fragrant aroma. This variety has a bumpy outer shell, making it look more squash than melon!
Documented by Vilmorin in Les Plantes Potageres (1883). This cantaloupe was once a favorite of French market gardeners. Fruits weigh 4-9 pounds and have beautifully warted skin and dense, sweet flesh. Melons have grey/green skin with salmon-orange flesh.
