If you have ever wanted a single pumpkin that could fill a pie, stock a soup pot, and feed a family for weeks, the Neck Pumpkin delivers.
The Neck Pumpkin—also known as the Pennsylvania Dutch Crookneck—is an heirloom winter squash dating back to at least the 1700s in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Some historians note a link to the Canada Crookneck documented in North American seed catalogs by 1834.
For generations, it has remained a staple in Amish and Mennonite kitchen gardens and local markets throughout Pennsylvania
This Pennsylvania Dutch heirloom produces enormous crookneck fruits weighing 10 to 20 pounds with a long, nearly seedless neck of dense, sweet orange flesh and a compact bulb end where the seeds are neatly contained. An exceptional keeper and a legendary pie pumpkin with generations of history behind it.
Contains 10 heirloom seeds
