The Anasazi Bean is a beautiful maroon and white bean. Identified as one of the few cultivated crops grown by the Anasazi cliff dwellers. Sweet flavor, meaty and nutty. An excellent bean for cooking and for a food storage crop.

Yes, it looks similar to Jacob's cattle bean but they are slightly different.

Anasazi beans are small, kidney-shaped, maroon and white beans.

Planting Instructions: Soak beans 2-3 hours before planting. (optional)

Seeds should be sown in warm conditions, covered very lightly (depth of ½ inch) and kept reasonably moist until seedlings emerge. 

Grow in full sun.  Thin Seedlings 6-12 inches apart.

Trellis for support.  Do not over water.

Love this bean!

I’m gonna start by saying I love these beans. They are a beautiful bean. I was impressed with how quickly they germinated, more impressed with how they tasted. I love chili and soups and will be adding this bean to that list. I almost thought they were to pretty to eat until I tasted one after that I had zero problems putting this bean in our bellies. Highly recommend.
