Hi Mary,
Started my Winter planting of veggies, must admit that they germinated very quickly in your seed starter kit.
After all the heat of Summer in San Diego, I would love to get some flower color in my front yard. What seeds do you recommend I can plant now for some Winter colour?
Thank
Jan
@Dana
We’re located and growing in Ramona and use the same planting guide. For September, there are quite a few fall crops to plant. A few of my favorite varieties include:
Chioggio & Detroit Dark Red Beet
Pak Choy & Dwarf Pak Choy Cabbage
Parisienne Carrots
Lacinato Kale
Little Gem and Tom Thumb Lettuce
Alaska Pea
Fordhook Giant & Rainbow Swiss Chard
Bloomsdale Longstanding Spinach
Purple Plum, Early Scarlet, German Giant & French Breakfast Radish
I have 10 acres to plant what do you suggest I plant? I’m in the hills near Alpine calif thank you
