70 days. Also known as the Pimiento de Padron pepper
A very famous Spanish Heirloom.
For mild peppers, Harvest Padron peppers when they are 1–1 1/2" long. For Hot peppers, the fruits become hot if allowed to grow 2–3" long.
The peppers grow abundantly on vigorous plants that will bear pods early and for a longer season. They have spice in them, but less spice than a Jalapeño, and the red Padrons have a sweeter flavor.
Fantastic addition to Homemade Salsa!
