Well-known for its beautiful magenta-purple skin and broad, Chantenay-type shoulders.

Very thin, smooth skin makes Dragon easier to wash and serve unpeeled than other purples. The reddish purple color on the outside contrasts with the bright orange interior when peeled or sliced.

Excellent carrot.

I wanted these strictly because it was Dragon Carrots. I grew these with a couple of different varieties and out of all the ones I grew these were my favorite. Great flavor with a cool name. Highly recommend. I actually just bought more so I could plant for this fall. A permanent staple.
