The King of the Early bean was first bred by the Abenaki people in what is now known as Maine and Quebec. Beautiful mottled red baking bean.
King of the Early is easy to grow and heavy yielding year after year. It holds up well to longer cooking, and is ideal for chili, as well as hearty soups and stews.
