90 days. Hidatsa beans are very prolific and make a great crop of dried beans to put away for the winter.

From the Hidatsa tribe who raised corn, squash, beans, and sunflowers in the Missouri River Valley of North Dakota. Shield Figure beans are described in Buffalo Bird Woman’s Garden (1917).

Hidatsa is an excellent choice for growing the "Three Sister's" method.

Great taste!

Harvested about 1/4 lb dried from 2 plants last year and stored them over the winter. On a whim, I added them to some Cajun red beans and rice, and these were the definite star of the dish!
