I direct sowed alyssum and it is spreading out into a pretty border plant. Next year I think I will buy many more packs so I can plant it everywhere I see a bare spot. I love the tiny flowers.
I remember my grandmother growing this as a border plant and in between her flagstone path.
The ones in the picture are just starting to flower and they will fill in, in a similar way like creeping phlox does.
I will transplant clumps to other locations once it gets larger, it is perfect as a border filler for a english cottage-like garden look where you have many different flower plants of many different heights creating a spectacle of flowers to create both a peaceful view and a perfect hide out for pollinators.
