NEW ARRIVAL for 2026
65-120 days. Allium fistulosum
Red stemmed spring onion that originates in Japan. It is easy to grow and well suited to a variety of soil types. This is the most popular heirloom variety.
Rather than harvesting the entire onion, cut it down and this will allow it to regenerate and produce further harvests.
Unlike the white stalks on most onions, these tasty bunching onions have bright red stalks, with yummy green leaves.
Harvest at 12-15" in length, just before the bulb begins to swell. Performs well when planted in clumps of 4-5; succession planting is recommended. Provides delicious flavor when cooked, pickled and in raw preparations.
Contains approx. 200 heirloom seeds
