The plant produces good yields of large deep crimson red beets. They are ideal pickled with vinegar or used fresh in salads. Unlike many beets, the Boltardy can be sown early as it doesn’t bolt.
This is one of the most popular beet varieties in England.
Tolerates cool weather and cold soils well, making it one of the earliest varieties you can sow.
