This petite carrot is one of the oldest around. The Amsterdam can be harvested early for baby carrots if desired. This is an excellent early harvest vegetable and can be planted in late summer if a second harvest is something you want.

Amsterdam carrot is also known as Amsterdam forcing carrot. An old European variety, 'Amsterdam' was introduced in American in the early 1900s.
