There’s so many plants we can add over time (buckwheat is top of my list), but for now I’ve been simply observing bees in my half-wild yard, and my favorites to see are long-leaf plantain (so unassuming, just everywhere underfoot – but there’s always bees picking over the little flowerheads), and autumn olive (it smells absolutely lovely, and is covered in bees).

My large oregano plant is a hardy grower even when other plants aren’t doing well and the flowers attract all sorts of pollinators! Bees, wasps, flies, and butterflies all visit the abundance of oregano flowers every year! =) It flowers at the perfect time to bridge if there’s a gap between spring and summer flowers. =)
